Houston Roller Derby Fall 2012 Tryouts

Do YOU have what it takes to be a Houston Roller Derby girl? Come out and show us! HRD is hosting its post-season tryouts in two weeks! 
Note: HRD hosts tryouts a few times throughout the year for skaters who want to ultimately join one of our four home teams that bout on a monthly basis before fans.

Fall 2012 Tryout Dates: 

*Must attend all three days* 

Wednesday, September 19, 2012. 7:00pm-10:00pm @ Houston Indoor Sports
Thursday, September 20, 2012. 7:00pm-10:00pm @ Houston Indoor Sports
Sunday, September 23, 2012. 5:00pm-7:00pm @ Houston Indoor Sports

Please bring $30 for tryout fees on Wednesday, September 19, 2012. 
It is recommended that you get there early to fill out any necessary paperwork you may need and have time to gear up before tryouts.
All skaters must be 18 years or older.
No previous derby experience is needed to tryout, however you will be assessed on basic derby skills such as falls, stops, endurance, speed, and agility.

Equipment 
*We do have gear that can be borrowed until you are able to purchase your own.*
Skates can be rented for $3.

Please bring the following: 

• Helmet 
• Mouth Guard 
• Elbow Pads 
• Knee Pads 
• Wrist Guards 
• Skates
